Our Studio together with Los Angeles Councilmember, Bob Blumenfield, kicked off the Grand Opening of the Reseda Neighborhood Council Community Space and conducted a public workshop for the development of Sherman Way.
The community workshop is a part of Reseda Rising, a dynamic, multi-front initiative used to leverage resources toward creating a vibrant, exiting and safe community.
This kickoff event was the first workshop of three events that will be led by our Studio to gather community input toward developing a concept plan for Sherman Way in the Reseda neighborhood of Los Angeles. The study focuses on the stretch between Lindley and Wilbur Avenues. Sherman Way is one of 15 L.A. streets being targeted for improvements by Mayor Eric Garcetti’s “Great Streets” program.
The purpose of each workshop is to gain insight from the community to help guide the future of Reseda and Sherman Way. It was great to see everyone who came to support this resident driven effort. We received a significant amount of feedback from the community, which will be taken into consideration as we move on with next steps in the study.
Our Studio is excited to be part of this visioning effort and can’t wait to see Sherman Way become a “Los Angeles Great Street.”
